FRIENDS AND CITIZENS WORKING TOGETHER IN SUPPORT OF OUR COMMUNITY AND TO PRESERVE OUR NATIONAL FOREST AND ITS MULTIPLE USES.

           IS OUR MOTTO.

 

MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SHOW SUPPORT OF OUR COMMUNITY AS WELL AS HELPING TO PRESERVE OUR FOREST BY PICK UP TRASH FROM THE TRAILS AND IN CAMP GROUNDS THAT HAVE NO CAMP HOST, HAVE PUBLIC CONTACT ON THE FOREST TO EXPLAIN THE TRAVEL PLAN OPPORTUNITIES, ALSO TO IDENTIFY AND MAP NOXIOUS WEEDS IN SUMMIT COUNTY AND ON THE FOREST, REMOVE SMALL TREES AND LIMBS FROM FOREST TRAILS   OR CONTACT THE FOREST SERVICE TO LET THEM KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM.

 

 

 

We are also working with the Summit county Weed Management Authority to control noxious weed infestation in our county and our  Natoinal Forest

 

 

 

 

 

  WE WANT TO WORK WITH ALL OF THE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES IN A PRO-ACTIVE WAY TO MAKE OUR FOREST DISTRICT THE BEST IN THE NATION.

 

WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS THAT WANT TO HELP SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY AND  SAVE OUR FOREST. PLEASE COME TO OUR NEXT MEETING ON MONDAY SEPT.  17,2012

 

THERE ARE NO MEMBERSHIP FEES.

NOTE: THE FOREST SERVICE  MULTIMILLION DOLLAR PROVO RIVER WATERSHED RESTORATION PROJECT HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY  PUT ON HOLD DO TO OTHER PROJECTS THEY ARE WORKING ON AT THIS TIME.


AS SOON AS WE HEAR FROM THE FOREST SERVICE REGARDING THIS PROJECT WE WILL PUT IT ON OUR WEB SITE.

I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS TIME TO SAY THANK YOU TO DAN MASCARO A FOREST SERVICE PERMIT-TEE ON THE NATIONAL FOREST KAMAS VALLEY CATTLE ALLOTMENT FOR THE WORK HIM AND HIS CREW DID ON REPAIRING AND REPLACING WATER PIPE FROM THE UPPER CORRAL MINE TANK TO THE LOWER CORRAL MINE TANK. THEY REPLACED OVER 150 FEET OF BROKEN AND SPLIT CLOGGED PIPE SO THAT THEY COULD GET WATER TO THE LOWER TANK AND IMPROVE THE WATER PRESSURE.

THESE WATER TANKS PROVIDE WATER TO WILDLIFE, HORSEMAN, HIKERS, CATTLE ETC. THIS PROJECT WAS LONG OVER DUE.
