NOTE: THE FOREST SERVICE  MULTIMILLION DOLLAR PROVO RIVER WATERSHED RESTORATION PROJECT IS BACK ON THE TABLE. WE HAVE SENT THEM OUR COMMENTS AND CONCERNS AND ARE WAITING FOR A REPLY.

ABANDONED TRAILERS ON THE FOREST:

FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS WE HAVE ASKED THE HEBER/KAMAS RANGER DISTRICT OF THE UTAH NATIONAL FOREST SERVICE TO REMOVE THE ABANDONED TRAILERS THAT ARE ON THE WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST.  THESE TRAILERS ARE LOCATED OFF I-50 AT THE OLD MARIA MINE   AND OFF THE NORWAY FLAT ROAD. HOWEVER THEY HAVE IGNORED EACH REQUEST.

THESE TRAILERS ARE A HAZARD TO THE PUBLIC AND WILD LIFE. THEY ARE A FIRE HAZARD AND ARE BEING SCATTERED ON THE FOREST.

USED NEEDLES, LIQUOR  CONTAINERS AND GUN SHELLS HAVE BEEN FOUND IN THE TRAILER AT THE MARIA LOCATION. THE RESIDENCE AT WIDE HOLLOW ARE CONCERNED FOR THEIR CHILDREN AND THE FIRE DANGER THEY PRESENT.  WE WILL CONTINUE TO TRY AND GET THE FOREST SERVICE TO REMOVE THEM EVEN IF WE HAVE TO GO TO THE MEDIA AND CONGRESS TO DO IT.

HOW CAN THE FOREST SERVICE REQUEST A MULTI MILLION DOLLAR PROJECT WHEN THEY CAN'T EVEN REMOVE TWO TRAILERS FROM THE FOREST
